Lukashenko: 97% of Belarusians who left the country are asking to return

97% citizens of those who left Belarus after the presidential elections in 2020 are currently “asking to return,” said President Alexander Lukashenko.

According to him, after the elections, about 2-3 thousand dissidents have left the country and moved to Europe.< /p>

“Now 97% are asking to return,” he said, adding that if crimes are committed, one must be prepared to be held accountable.

He said also that those who wish may still leave the country, but “it will be more difficult to return” and the country will do without them. In his opinion, it will be even worse in the West. “I ask you, dear Belarusians, to take into account that the world that was will no longer be,” he said.

Lukashenko had earlier said that 20 Belarusian immigrants had been killed in battles with the Russians. Armed forces on the side of Ukraine.
