Deputy Khinshtein announced the delivery of defective weapons worth 400 million rubles to the Russian Guard

The National Guard received defective weapons at inflated prices, which led to the detention of Colonel Sergey Volkov, head of the Naval Directorate of the Russian Guard. State Duma representative Alexander Khinshtein announced this on his Telegram channel.
So far, the colonel has been detained for 48 hours. But criminal proceedings have already been initiated against him under Article 286 (“Exceeding official powers”) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The investigation believes that Volkov organized the supply of low-quality weapons to the National Guard.
The damage suffered by the Federal Service of the National Guard units of the Russian Federation is about 400 million rubles.
