Former Ambassador of the United States in the Russian Federation Michael McFaul said on the social network that the Russians do not have the right to “freeze in the free world.”
According to the American diplomat, this is a privilege these days. At the same time, the former US ambassador called for the encouragement of citizens of the Russian Federation who want to leave the country and “try to fight for freedom and human rights in Russia from abroad.”
The day before, former US ambassador to the Russian Federation Michael McFaul suggested the introduction of a special tax for Russians who want to enter Western countries. The funds obtained from these special taxes or fees should then be transferred to the Fund for the Reconstruction of Ukraine, the diplomat noted.
Earlier it was revealed that the European Union is discussing a new package of anti-Russian restrictive measures, including a ban on granting Schengen visas to citizens Russia. Such an initiative was taken by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
