Today, August 18, at the site of the news agency TASS answered the questions of journalists Governor of the Territory of Stavropol Vladimir Vladimirov. One of the current problems is the rise in prices for the so-called “borscht set”.

Journalists were interested in how this problem is solved in Stavropol. Vladimir Vladimirov first noted that food prices should be monitored in the same way as the prices of essential drugs, that is, a system of state control should be introduced. Vladimir Vladimirov believes that the next convocation of deputies of the State Duma should come with initiatives in this direction.

“It is necessary to consolidate the policy of additional fees for the main type of product. You can't leave the market for basic life-supporting products, “said Vladimir Vladimirov. The head of the region also stated that 1,348 fairs were held in the region during the year, which is 248 more than in the previous year. The “Vegetables at the Entrance” project has also been renewed, allowing people to buy fresh farm products right in the courtyard of their homes. Of course, their prices are several times lower than in retail chains.

“If you can buy potatoes in a large chain for 37-39 rubles, then in the yard during the event for 17, the difference is obvious,” – said the example of the head of Stavropol. Recall, previously Governor Vladimir Vladimirov ordered the regional department to implement a set of measures to reduce vegetable prices. In addition, yields are expected to increase in Stavropol this year – the largest increase is expected for potatoes and vegetables in greenhouses.
