Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia Urmas Reinsalu said that the previously announced ban on entering the country for Russians on Schengen visas will not affect employees of diplomatic missions in Estonia and their families, as well as those involved in international freight and passenger transport. In addition, the new rules do not apply to Russians who have the right to free movement under EU law and those whose arrival is necessary for humanitarian reasons.
Also Russians whose close relatives have Estonian citizenship or permanent residence. visa will be able to come to Estonia to stay in Estonia.
Reinsalu said that visas issued by Estonia to Russians will be valid, but entry into the country is prohibited.
