State Duma Representative Vitaly Milonov proposed to develop a list of smartphones for schoolchildren, says RT. According to him, in connection with the coronavirus pandemic, the availability of aids for educational purposes is simply necessary and it is foolish to ban their use. But on the other hand, expensive smartphone models for children contribute to their social separation.
According to the Member's plan, this list should include smartphones available to all families that can help children learn.
“In this case, I am asking you to create a list of available mobile device models approved by the Ministry of Education, which will end social disagreements and school rivalries. This list should include facilities capable of performing educational functions, ensuring communication between students and teachers, but at the same time affordable for any family, “said Milonov.
The deputy sent his proposal to the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergei Kravtsov.
