Permanent Representative Russia EU EU Vladimir Chizhov considers the latest European Parliament resolution on Russia to be a classic example of interference in the internal affairs of a sovereign state. The diplomat said this in an interview with Russian journalists.
According to Čižov, the accepted document can be quoted in textbooks in the future. Politics has surprised why MEPs consider it possible to dictate a sovereign country, what its power should be, how elections should be held and what parliament should be.
Chizhov pointed out that all these orders are a direct intervention in political life and the electoral process.
Let us recall that the European Parliament has adopted a resolution calling on Brussels to be prepared not to recognize the Russian Parliament. According to MEPs, this should happen if elections in the country are held in violation.
