Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is set to release “scandalous evidence” of covid parties that should prove his innocence, writes the coronavirus Telegraph. Then it turned out that there were 2 more parties, one of them before Prince Philip's funeral, i.e. during national mourning. Johnson later apologized and paid a fine.
Among the “evidence” is evidence from Johnson's entourage that coronavirus restrictions were not violated during the parties he attended. The publication said that in his confession, the former prime minister “said what he believed to be the truth” and “said what he was advised.”
Earlier, Sky News reported that Johnson would testify in parliament on March 22. Privileges Committee on the case of parties during the coronavirus pandemic as part of an ongoing investigation. If found guilty, Johnson may be suspended from working in the House of Commons for some time and may also initiate the removal of the MP's mandate.
