Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Russia's CEC chief Ella Pamfil.
During the meeting, the Russian leader noted that the law on foreign agents should meet the goals for which it was created. According to Putin, the law should not violate the rights of citizens.
Pamfilov replied that none of those who had been recognized as foreign agents had been deprived of their voting rights.
She also noted the high competition of the parties in the State Duma elections and stressed that this time the refusal to register was three times less.
